We would recommend 8. We have seen people not use 8. But we would use 8.
Countersunk bolts mount flush to the top surface of your board. We would not recommend for drop through truck mounting.
2" on set ups with 3/8" Risers and up. There may be a few Angled Risers that would be needed on the high end.
