The 165mm hangers are great for boards under 9". The smaller hanger size puts more of your weight directly over the wheels, giving the rider more grip, and a more defined hookup. Smaller hangers also tend to tighten up the feel of these trucks in a turn as well.
The 43° angle of these V3's offer a little more lean and less turn than the 50° option. More ideal for higher speeds this is the right angle for faster Freeride and downhill styles of longboarding. This combination of extra grip and low angle make these extra awesome for grippy downhill on narrower style set ups.

Paris took what they learned from the V1, V2, and Savants and set about to make them even better, beefing up the construction, and fine tuning the soft components to a point of excellence.
The new, propietary alloy forming process was developed from the previous versions casting, extrusion, and forging. This new process imbues the V3 with extra strength all the way down to the molecular level. This opened up the ability to use a true T6 heat-treatment taking the already top end strength, and giving the industry a new level to achieve. Along with better and stronger raw materials and construction Paris thickened the hangers barrels and shoulders, then threw a support beam across the baseplate. As the wizards at Paris excised the weakness away, they decided that a tougher SCM435 kingpin was in order. All of this is a really long way of saying that you are going to have to work a lot harder to break and bend these trucks than previous versions.
All of these improvements to the metal components wouldn't matter as much if Paris also didn't improve the soft workings of the truck. The double barrel bushing set up matches the trucks intended faster, need of more support, intent. Chasing the weakness down to it's very last point of resistance the baseplates now come with a hand-poured 96a urethane pivot cups.
